Fermented from natural carbohydrates, PURAC HiPure could be considered ‘the body’s own Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), since lactic acid is exclusively produced by the metabolic conversion of glucose or glycogen in the body.

Biobased solutions for anti-aging
Specifically, the anti-aging effects of lactic acid come from its ability to stimulate exfoliation in the upper levels of the skin; nurture cell renewal; moisturize the skin, and increase dermal and epidermal thickness.
